THE TEAM BEHIND THE WEALTH MANAGEMENT PROCESS FOR YOUR FAMILY
CFP ® – Financial Advisor
Kirby, owner and president of Generations Financial Management, attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and graduated with an accounting degree. A few months after getting his first job, he opened his first investment account – this prompted a passion that led him to the financial industry and ultimately starting his own company, Generations Financial Management in 2017. Kirby is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP ® ).
Kirby and his wife, Debra, reside in Rockwall County and are involved with Lakepointe Church in Rockwall. Of their four children, two have successfully graduated college, one is currently attending college, and the last one is in high school. When not working, he can usually be found attending and supporting his kids school functions and athletic events.
Kirby volunteers some of his time for local charities and churches. One of his favorite charities that has impacted his entire family is Hidden Acres, a children’s sumer camp – where he serves on the finance committee. Kirby has also taught Financial Peace multiple times at some area churches and enjoys teaching people about financial wellness and education. Since starting Generations Financial Management, he and his wife have started two scholarships for graduating seniors.
Kirby’s varied hobbies include spending time with family, golf, gardening, and traveling. He enjoys shooting and hunting with his family, especially his daughters. Kirby restored his high school car – a 1965 Mustang and drives it around town on nice days. He also has his private pilot license with an instrument rating. Two of his favorite places (so far) are St. Maarten and Italy.

Patsy graduated with honors from the University of Texas El Paso and holds a BS degree in engineering. She also pursued an M.B.A. in finance at UT Permian Basin until a career transfer interrupted the completion of that degree.
An active member of the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) community, Patsy has served as a board member of the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was appointed by former Governor of Texas George W. Bush to the Tarrant County Workforce Development Board, of which she was elected chair in 2003. Patsy also served on the board of Associated Builders and Contractors of DFW.

“A financial plan creates a roadmap and forces us to focus on the things within our control. It allows us to evaluate the input, both short and long term, of our choices or decisions.”
Generations Financial Management is not your typical financial services office
At Generations Financial Management, we view ourselves as stewards of our clients’ assets, meaning that we help our clients design a plan that is aligned with their values and priorities.
When a prospect meets with us, they are first educated on the process we use to approach any given situation, Generations Financial Management’s 3-D Process. During the initial meeting our office finds it essential that the potential client and our office get to know each other in order for both sides to decide if we will be a beneficial fit to work together.
We recommend creating a holistic financial plan as a roadmap for your financial future. The plan keeps you, the client, at the center and in control. Clients use us as a sounding board to explore the various challenges and opportunities they face. There is no “one size fits all” approach.
Our team collaborates with the other members of your financial team – CPA, attorney, etc.,–to ensure all aspects of your financial life are aligned. For your convenience, we offer meetings in person, by phone, or video conferencing.
If you would like any additional information or have questions about our process, please reach out to us through our contact form or phone number (972-722-2609).
